Message Hey guys, Im finally hauling my car into the shopp next Weds to swap out my engine due to hydrolock. Im keeping my old engine so Im going to be parting that out soon. But in the meantime, I need to know if Im going in the right direction and need to know what parts I should/need to replace when the engine is pulled.

I found a japanese imported engine with less than 50,000miles for $1900 + tax locally. I also found the 5-speed tranny, less than 50,000miles japanese imported for $700 + tax locally.

The shop is charging me $1300 labor for swaping the engine, install my random technology downpipes, moving my new timing belt, pulleys, other belts, new hoses, PCV Hoses, brake and clutch hoses, upper plenum, balance tube, etc etc for the same price.

Im also having them install my energy suspension bushing kit, new main wire harness, new gaskets, new engine mounts.

But main question is do you guys know if the turbos on the japanese import engine will fit in the car okay or is their manifolds slightly different? I would want to use the turbos with the 50,000miles and under rather than my 130,000mile stock turbos.

What others parts should I be changing since the engine will be pulled from my '92 TT.

thanks
